Biographical note
Elisha Hutchinson, of Boston, eldest son of Edward and grandson of William. He was a freeman in 1666, a captain in 1676, and had high military rank after. He was a representative 1680-3, and a councillor from 1684 to his death December 10, 1717. He married (1st) Hannah, daughter of Capt. Thomas and Mary Hawkins, and (2nd) (December 23, 1672/3) Elizabeth widow of John Freak, daughter of Capt. Thomas Clark.
