Design Rationale
The arms honor the ancestry and military service of the armiger's family. The wolf paw print and thistle refer to the family's ancestral countries of origin. The blue lion represents ancient British roots. The sword, the castle crown and the red, white and blue theme allude to the armiger's grandfather's service in the army in WWII as well as the armiger's ancestors' service in past wars including the American Revolution. The wings allude to the armiger's four years of training as a cadet in the Air Force's JROTC program.
