Design rationale

The panther was chosen as a symbol of my fierce determination to protect and love my children. The two kiwis on the shield are representative of my children, who are Siwiks, which when spelled backward is kiwis. In the crest, I have designed a wreath of puzzle pieces to symbolize my son's Asperger Syndrome, a form of high functioning autism. The bull as a symbol of generosity and hospitality and the bee as a symbol of industry were chosen to represent my daughter and me. Peacock feathers and holly are used to encircle the lozenge, and were chosen to honor my daughter's beauty and the family value of truth.
