Registration number 20080718A
This certifies that the heraldic arms of Arnt Jacobsen (1900 - 1992) which are offered in memoriam and conveyed to his descendants are registered and described by the blazon below
He was born in Brooklyn, NY to a Finnish father and a Norwegian mother. His father died young, so he left school early and helped his mother support his two sisters. He joined the military and afterwards became a NYC Police Officer. After retiring he opened a metal shop that remained in the family for more than 50 years. He was a quiet and gentle giant of a man who served as an example to his sons and grand children on how to live a life of kindness and courage.
The stag's head represents one who will not fight without provocation. The hammer represents the trade emblem of a blacksmith.
