Design rationale
Argent on a bend azure between a tutor rose or - which represents the city of Derby where my grandfather's ancestors are from and a ship's anchor sable - which represents my 20 year service with the U.S. Navy, three fleur de lis or - which represent my Norman French ancestry: on a chief azure a gold lion passant guardant - which represent my grandmothers Scottish ancestry. The crest a martlet holding in the beak two keys - which represent my current job as a Correction Officer.
