Biographical information

A Presbyterian minister for thirty-four years, Tom Schmid became the seventh Pastor of Falls Church Presbyterian Church in 1998, having previously served as Pastor at the First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Nebraska and at the San Pedro Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, Texas. He is a graduate of three Presbyterian institutions: Austin College, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and McCormick Theological Seminary. With a special interest in Psalms and the book of Acts, he is the author of a workbook on prayer, Dawn in the Afternoon, and a series of book reviews. Tom married Elizabeth (Beth) Wheatcroft in 1966. They are the parents of four and the grandparents of five.
