Kirk Charles Stepanian

Registration number 20070707I

This certifies that the heraldic arms of Kirk Charles Stepanian are registered as an original design and are described by the blazon below

Arms: Vert, in pale a heart Argent above a column of the second with a blacksnake entwined facing sinister proper.
Crest: On a wreath Vert and Argent a swan closed of the second, in it's mouth a branch of holly with berries proper.
Motto: Gaudium est Presertim Bonus (Happiness is the chief good)

Design rationale

The color of the shield was chosen for its representation of joy and hope. The charges on the shield represent compassion (the heart), wisdom (serpent) and fortitude (column), which I consider to be the three primary virtues (the virtues of the soul, mind and body respectively) needed in order to be able to live a proper life. The swan represents my interest in beauty and harmony in the arts, which I believe should express Truth, which itself is represented by the holly branch. The motto is a quote from Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics expressing the belief that all that we do is done, and should be done, for the purpose of our own happiness. Overall the achievement is designed to express the proper attributes of character I seek to strive for in order to achieve such happiness.
