Armiger was born September 15, 1950 in Pittsburgh. He attended University of Pittsburgh and Temple University School of Medicine. He works as a pathologist at Sewickley Valley Hospital in Sewickley and resides in Moon Township, PA.
Design rationale
In addition to the traditional heraldic significance, the pall represents the three rivers of Pittsburgh, PA while the tinctures of Sable and Or represent the colours of the Pittsburgh sport teams known as the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins.
