Design Rationale

Pierre Perdeux of Anjou France b.1585 bore the arms Argent a bend guiles an overcross patriarchal sable. (Institute of Genealogical Research, Registration no. 17-K-258) While my last name is Hall, I do have the geneaological proof that my grandfather was born Alonzo Perdue, and changed his name at an early age when his mother married a man named Hall. Indeed I am a direct descendant in an unnbroken line of males of Pierre Perdeux. Unfortunately at a later date in Ireland these armes were duplicated by a man named Rorke. Since twelve generations of differencing would leave the arms looking cluttered anyway, I decided to difference the arms in a manner that would also resolve the conflict with Rorke.
