Rationale

The armiger's Gallaher ancestors came to British North America just before the American Revolution. There is a "standard" Gallagher arms you see all over the net. The CHI has informed me that their records show only TWO Gallagher/Gallaher arms granted and only in the 1970's. Not sure they are correct as Crozier's General Armory lists a Hugh Gallaher as being Armigerous in 1798 in PA. That is the name of my first Gallaher in the NA. Can not prove a link so I need my own arms. The Lion Sable and trefoils are from the Gallaher arms. The shield Or and Vert are from the arms of William Marshall, Earl of Pembroke who I may or may not be a descendent. They are also a tribute to the arms of the Calvert family of Maryland where some of my family has lived since the 1650's. The same for the crest with a Baltimore Oriole on a bed/nest of Black-eyed Susan's.

Note

Original art work was done by Elliot Nesterman and the final draft by Geoff Kingman-Sugars of the IAAH.
