Biographical information

Armiger was born and raised in Ireland. He immigrated to the United States in 1979 and enlisted in the Navy in 1980. Current rank is Commander. Ordained Lutheran Orthodox priest and consecrated a Bishop in 2009. Currently the Archbishop for the Diocese of Virginia (Lutheran Orthodox Church). In 2009 he became the Chaplain General for the Honorable Order of the Christian Knights of the Rose.

Design rationale

Green represents Ireland; white represents peace; the Saint Andrew's cross represents armiger's patron saint; the three white roses represent the Holy Trinity and the Lutheran faith; the anchor represents armiger's Navy career; and the arm with cross represents armiger's calling as a Christian minister.
