Biographical information

Armiger was born and raised in southern Wisconsin. His BA is from St. John's University, Collegeville, MN. He has a MA in Systematic Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA and is currently a doctoral candidate in historical theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

Design rationale

The eagle represents my first name and the battle axes symbolize St. Olav, the Perpetual King of Norway, of whose name my middle name is a diminutive. The eight pasque flowers present the Paschal Mystery of Christ, which is central to my theological studies and writings and is celebrated at Easter when these flowers bloom at my childhood home and for which they are named. Red and gold are also the colors of the Arms of Norway and the pasque flower is the charge of the Arms of Oppland County in Norway where my family originated.
