Design rationale

Canting arms (obviously), with the cant carrying over into the crest and, more distantly, motto. I wanted a design that had an "American" flavor to it, but which did not - to the very best of my knowledge - infringe or the arms of any other person or entity. I believe I have succeeded on both counts.

First "official" use was at the International Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences held in Dublin, Ireland, in 2002, where the coat of arms was included in the roll of arms of Congress attendees created by the artists of the office of the Chief Herald of Ireland.
