Design rationale
The armored horse and knight represent aspects of his career where he is in the defense of others. The Knight looking to his back represents his interest in history and studying those who came in the past. It is also representative of his vested interest in everyone that he comes in contact. The torch also represents this quality in him and his desire to lead.
