Design rationale

Arms: The cross flory-fitchee, symbolizes the armiger's Catholic faith, and also his hometown, Tanjay City, whose patron saint is Señor Santiago (St. James the Greater, son of Zibedee), since the cross flory-fitchee is also known as St. James's cross, or the warrior's cross. The escallops symbolize his country, the Philippines (the Pearl of the Orient Seas), and again, St. James. The overall colors (blue, red, white, yellow) mirror his city's seal, his country's coat of arms and flag.

Crest: The crest is thus to be more in line with Spanish heraldic traditions, but the crest coronet containing charges from the escutcheon was added to further personalize it.
