Design rationale

Argent comprises one half the color of the coat of arms and represents peace and sincerity. Purpure comprises the remaining half and represents sovereignty and justice. The mathematical symbol for infinity emblazons the top of the shield and stands both as a predictor of longevity and represents the solemn promise between the founders of this house. The Lion Rampant stands at the bottom of the shield. It represent fierce courage and reflects the vigor with which this house is imbued. Furthermore the Lion rampant sits upon the royal Scottish flag and it's inclusion reflects the origin of the Burnside name.
