Design Rationale

The celtic high cross represents my Irish heritage and my Catholic faith. The phoenix also represents my Catholic faith because of the Resurrection and it is also my favorite mythical creature. The swords are in defense of the symbols of Christianity only, never for attacking. The Gules, Black, and Or represent the German tricolor to show my Prussian ancestry.

In the crest, the demi-raven is from a German myth that a raven pulls the stars through the sky, this in line with my heritage and my love for astronomy. The sword is defense as well.

The motto, "Christus Vincit," means "Christ Conquers" or "Christ Victorious" the idea of the Resurrection correlating with the phoenix.
