The name "Alexander" get passed down from generation to generation in my family and means "Defending man" so I based the design of the idea of defence with a red dragon as a symbol for a defender or protector of treasure. For the the treasure I chose the ideas of "Grace and beauty" (red rose) and "love and faith" (white rose) of the English rose. The arms inescutcheon are those of Mr Richard Washington, gent of Gosford from whom I'm descended.
