Design rationale

Based on the earliest Turnbull arms differenced by a chief Sable. The Moline Crosses tinctured Or, allude to the armiger as being a second son descended from an eighth son. Being sarcelled indicate the decline of the line, the three in number representing the number of males remaining.

Designed by the armiger's son in line with Scottish tradition and should be displayed in accordance with that system. Assumed January 1, 2007 and currently petitioned to the Lord Lyon King of Arms.
