James Alfred Pelletier

Registration number 20060629B

This certifies that the heraldic arms of James Alfred Pelletier are registered as an original design and are described by the blazon below

Arms: Per pale Argent and Azure, in dexter two Staffs of Asclepius addorsed Tenne, in sinister two portculli of the Argent in pale.
Crest: On a wreath of the colors, a rampant demi-lion Argent armed and langued Azure, holding in its dexter claw a wreath of oak and laurel leaves with a Star of Life all proper.

Design rationale

As a paramedic, I wanted a design that reflected this. The Staff of Asclepius is the correct symbol of medicine, orange (tenne) denotes a worthy endeavor and is also the primary color on my department's patch. The portcullis represents protection in an emergency, and my department is a strictly 9-1-1 service. The lion in the crest represents the courage and determination required to work in Emergency Medical Services, the Star of Life is the symbol of EMS, and the wreath represents the excellence in my job that I strive for.
